COE prices down across the board

SINGAPORE: COE premiums for vehicles fell across all categories in the latest bidding exercise that ended on Wednesday.

The biggest drop was in the Open Category, where the premium fell S$$4,001 to S$39,002.

Meanwhile the premium for small cars went down S$3,898 to S$26,102, while that for big cars fell S$2,001 to S$38,000.

The COE price for commercial vehicles ended S$3,055 lower at S$32,501.

For motorcycles, the premium slid S$1 to S$1,252.

I wanted to laugh at the change in the price for motorcycles category...Haha...Come to think of it, it's "WOW it finally drops!" to many people and "But it's still so expensive!" to some people too.. But come to think of it, is buying a car really worth it?...Someone once told me, "The car should provide for you and help you earn money!...Not the other way round..." And some finance people also said, "It's more worth it to sit taxi everyday rather than to own a car." So what do you guys think?...
